Founded in 2008 by a group based in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, KINFOLK BICYCLES began its journey with Shuichi Kusaka as its master builder. Today, all frame building is skillfully crafted by Osamu Fukuda of RAIZIN WORKS, a workshop located in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. By blending the unique artistic visions of our team with the technical expertise of passionate Japanese cyclists, and collaborating with skilled frame builders and painters, we create custom-made bicycles that are truly one-of-a-kind.
ニューヨーク、ロサンゼルス、東京を拠点とするグループによって2008年に設立されたKINFOLK BICYCLESは、日下周一氏をマスタービルダーとしてその歩みを始めました。現在、すべてのフレーム製作は、群馬県にある工房 RAIZIN WORKSの福田修氏が務めています。アーティストの独創的な芸術的ビジョンと、日本の熱心な自転車愛好家たちの技術的専門知識を融合させ、熟練したフレームビルダーやペインターとのコラボレーションによって、私たちはまさにオンリーワンのカスタムオーダーバイクを生み出しています。

The KINFOLK badge features a double-headed rabbit and an anvil. The rabbit, a symbol of both fragility and resilience in nature, represents the bicycle's struggle for survival in the urban environment. The anvil, symbolizing strength, complements the rabbit, together representing an indomitable spirit. The design is a brass casting based on a sketch by tattoo artist Marco Hernandez.
KINFOLKのバッジには、双頭の兎と鉄床が描かれています。兎は自然界において弱くもたくましく生きる存在であり、自転車が交通社会の中で生き抜く姿を象徴しています。一方、鉄床は力強さを象徴し、これら二つのモチーフが組み合わさることで、不屈の精神を持った存在を表しています。タトゥーアーティスト Marco Hernandezによるスケッチを基に、真鍮で鋳造しています。
